5th Annual Kids Cup Classic Golf Benefit
The Windsor & District Junior Golf Academy invites you to join us for our 5th Annual Golf Benefit on Friday, June 10th, 2011 at Ambassador Golf Club.
The Windsor & District Junior Golf Academy is a developmental junior golf program designed to create a network for children to learn to play golf, make friends and sample competition in a positive and supportive learning environment. Our programs provide the opportunity to develop skills, progress in golf and have fun while establishing a continued interest in the game.
By participating in, sponsoring or donating an auction item, you will help us achieve our "MISSION" - to create programs that are affordable and accessible to young golfers of all races, physical abilities, and economic backgrounds to the game of golf, while promoting values such as self-respect, responsibility, honesty, integrity and sportsmanship.
Funds raised from our tournament directly support and maintain our Community Programs; “Teaching Adaptive Golf” and ”Inter City Kidz”. These programs are offered at no cost all summer and include the use of all golf equipment. “Teaching Adaptive Golf” offers programs specifically designed for the John McGivney Children's Centre and Autism Ontario. This program is a fun and interactive way to introduce children with developmental limitations to an activity they can enjoy their entire life. The ”Inter City Kidz” program is offered to children from social service agencies such as the Children's Aid Society, New Beginnings, Northstar Cultural and Community Centre and local compensatory schools.
The game of golf, which many enjoy, is merely a tool used to help generate joy and laughter among our participants, who face challenges the likes of which so many of us can never fully understand. The impact of this day's efforts will address the dreams of so many children, today and for many tomorrows.
