SUMMER JUNIOR GOLF PROGRAMS
The Windsor & District Junior Golf Academy is a non-profit, developmental junior golf program designed to create a network for children to learn to play golf, make friends and sample competition in a positive and supportive learning environment. Our programs provide the opportunity to develop skills, progress in golf and have fun while establishing a continuing interest in the game.
Our programs are aimed at teaching the fundamentals of golf to the beginner. Students will learn the basics of golf, including swing, putting, chipping, pitching, rules of the game, safety and etiquette.
Volunteers will be responsible for setting up the equipment, i.e. ensuring the golf clubs, golf balls, turf mats, targets, etc. are in place and ready for lessons.
During the one hour lessons, the volunteers will assist the CPGA Pro by making sure the participants have the proper grip, stance, swing, etc.
This is a great opportunity to achieve your 40 hours of volunteer community service. The Junior Golf Academy will provide a schedule of the hours you’ve accumulated, as well as a letter of reference.
