The Academy: About Us WINDSOR & DISTRICT JUNIOR GOLF ACADEMY Personal Development The Windsor & District Junior Golf Academy is a developmental junior golf program designed to create a network for children to learn to play golf, make friends and sample competition in a positive and supportive learning environment. Our programs provide the opportunity to develop skills, progress in golf and have fun while establishing a lifelong interest in the game.Kids Learn Life Lessons with Junior Golf Program Our mandate at the Windsor & District Junior Golf Academy is to foster beginner and junior golfers by developing sound fundamentals of golf and encouraging our members to appreciate and understand the games’ values and traditions. By learning golf at an early age, lessons such as rules, etiquette and the history of the game will stay with them for the rest of their lives. Our Mission Our mission is to create programs that are affordable and accessible to young golfers of all races and economic backgrounds to the game of golf, while promoting values such as self-respect, responsibility, honesty, integrity and sportsmanship. Our Purpose Our purpose and objective of the Junior Golf Academy is to offer local youth an opportunity to experience and explore the game of golf with programs and instruction that would otherwise not be readily available to them. Our Vision Our vision is to establish a lifelong interest in golf by engaging children in a structured golf curriculum while positively impacting their lives.
